Engine valves

Valves are among the most stressed engine parts. Their quality largely determines its reliability and durability.

Valve guides

PARADOWSCY AMP has proven to be a producer of high-quality parts for internal combustion engines. Along with impeccable quality engine valves, AMP is introducing valve guides to the market with equally high standards.

As a material for the production of guides, gray cast iron ISO Grade 200 (EN-JL 1030) is used, which is characterized by high wear resistance and good thermal conductivity. This allows for effective heat dissipation from the cooled cylinder head.

For engines subjected to high loads, valve guides made of aluminum bronze BA 1032 PN are provided. This type of bronze alloy is among the most durable.

It is used to counteract the effects of high temperatures, cavitation, and rust.

When selecting a material for the production of valve guides, it is necessary to consider the working conditions of this component, such as: high speed of valve movement in the guide sleeve, exposure to high temperatures, and limited oil supply in the valve-guide system.

Piston pins

In addition to high-quality engine valves, piston rings, and valve guides, Paradowscy AMP supplies the market with piston pins that meet the same high standards.

An important part of the crank mechanism is the piston pin. It serves to transfer the forces resulting from the gas pressures acting on the piston to the connecting rod. The pin is subjected to forces of variable magnitude and direction.

As a material used for the production of piston pins, Paradowscy AMP uses construction steel 16 NS (chromium-manganese). The durability and strength of the product are achieved through the appropriate selection of heat treatment technology, resulting in a plastic core and a hard surface.

This is possible due to the use of double-sided cementation at a depth of 0.6-1.1 mm on the outer surface and 0.3-0.7 mm on the inner surface, followed by hardening. With this heat treatment process, it is possible to achieve a hardness of 57-65 HRC on the outer surface of the pin and 28-49 HRC on the inner surface.

The increase in fatigue strength of the pins is also achieved through precise polishing of their external cylindrical surface. Paradowscy AMP pays particular attention to controlling the roughness of the outer surface, which should not exceed Ra 0.125.

Piston rings

In 2014, the company launched the co-production of AMP piston rings that meet the highest quality standards.

Piston rings operate in very harsh conditions characterized by high thermal and mechanical loads. With the right design approach and proper material selection, Paradowscy AMP is able to meet these requirements.

The distinguishing feature of AMP products is compliance with strict production technology requirements, particularly regarding the shape of the outer surface of the rings and the requirements set out in the ISO-6626 standard.
